Ethics Code And New York State Professional Standards

A professional psychologist enters into the field of Psychology to help others improve their mental health circumstances. As a licensed professional psychologist, it will be easy to know who the client will because the client will request a service, pay and consent form signed. Client cannot be easily defined as just a paying customer because a client encompasses so many other things. WHO IS THE CLIENT? Who is the Client? There will be an obvious answer, which will be the paying client. This paper will detail what it entails to be a client in the context of the APA Ethics Code and New York State Professional Standards. Under the Ethics Code and New York State Professional Standards, they both have explicit details on â€Å"who is the client?† Definition of a client. The first step will be to understand why the word â€Å"client† was being used instead â€Å"patient† since the two words represents someone seeking medical/mental help. The word â€Å"patient† suggests that the therapist puts him/herself in the position of making decision for the person whom they viewed as impaired or damaged. Have you ever taken into consideration how your intrapersonal communication has an impact on your interpersonal communication? Our interpersonal communication is communication that strives us to create and maintain relationships with others in our life. My interpersonal communication is solely based on my self-concept, self-image, how I perceive myself, my bad and good qualities, and my non-verbal communication. My expectations about myself or my self-concept influences how I communicate with others around me. Drugs should be banned in all sports. They have been a problem for a long time. Athletes use them to enhance their body and for simply just the edge. There is nothing wrong with using some drugs to enhance your body as long as they are legal. The problems that come with drugs in sports are how to detect them. Some professional sports, such as the NHL, do not even use drug tests. The only sports that test for everything are the NBA and NFL. The Major League Baseball only tests for illegal drugs such as marijuana and cocaine. They do not test for steroids or any other kind of pill. This symbolism was the water that he jumpedinto was a symbolism of the new, clean life that he was going to live fromnow on. At this time, Henry goes off and finds his wife to be. The plot in A Farewell to Arms was always active. They were neverstaying in one place too long. It had a very good story line, which was alove story that ended up in a tragedy. The main characters wife gotpregnant and she was off to have her baby when problems started occurring. They had to have a caesarean, and the baby dies, and when the mother of thechild starts to hemorrhage Henry knows that it was over for his wife and hewas right. From the beginning of the book until the end, the action was up. Eversince the front page Henry was traveling around to different towns so itwas not boring for the reader. That made it very interesting for thereader because it was always a new town coming up so they were beingintroduced in the new characters quite often. As the story goes on, thereader is not introducing as many new people, but they are still travelingaround quite a bit. Hemingway has a way with arranging the plots of all hisstories. They all have that right timing to them. He always introducesonly people that will affect the story, he does not introduce someone whowill be in the scene for five minutes and then leave. I felt that theauthors planning on putting this novel together was very good. Ernest Hemingway has always been one of the worlds best known classicwriters. His style and technique of symbolism is much different thanothers. He uses then in very strong ways that you the reader does notalways pick up. I am sure that I missed some of the symbolism that went onin the book. I picked up a few though and they were very interesting.
